Tulips always fascinate me. For the range of colors and beauty. Their short life span makes them even more precious. I like this photo especially for the saturated colors and depth of field. The quality of this photo is not as good because I had scanned the negative with a consumer grade scanner and later lost the negative, so this is only copy I’ve left besides the prints. Shot with Canon EOS Elan IIE and Sigma 28-80mm lens. Spring 1999. Woodburn, Oregon, USA.

I like this ‘portrait’ for the poses three of us are standing in. It reminds me of the movie posters in 80s and 90s where the main characters would be depicted standing next to each other with intense expressions on their faces. Another interesting this about this portrait is the depth of field in the image. This was shot on Camelback Mountain which is really a small hill in the middle of city of Phoenix, Arizona, USA. You can see the city in the background with the horizon way back in the background. January 1999. Shot with Canon EOS Elan IIE and Sigma 28-80mm lens. Camera was in automatic timer mode as there was nobody there to take this photo. My friend Bhushan, Shraddha (wife), and me in this photo.
